Cancellation policy

To secure your session, your full payment is due no later than 48 hours before your session.

I operate a 48 hour cancellation policy. In the event of cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice, you will be invoiced for the full cost of the session.

If you need to reschedule at short notice due to an emergency, I will review the circumstances on a case-by-case basis and let you know whether payment is still required.

Data protection and the use of technology

All clinical notes and personal information are stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. My insurer requires me to retain these records for five years following the end of our professional relationship, after which they are securely destroyed.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

For online sessions, I use platforms which are GDPR-compliant and offer end-to-end encryption. While I take all reasonable measures to safeguard your data, I cannot guarantee the platforms are 100% secure.

Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential. I will only consider breaching confidentiality in exceptional situations where there appears to be an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others. Where possible, I will inform you if such a breach is necessary.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Any professional agreement with me is made under the laws of England and Wales. As a practitioner based in the UK, I follow the legal and ethical standards applicable within this jurisdiction. If any concerns or disagreements arise in relation to this agreement, they will be addressed within the legal framework of England and Wales, through the appropriate UK courts.

Complaints procedures

I aim to offer a safe, ethical and transparent service. If you ever have concerns about my work or about how your information is handled, you have the right to raise a complaint. The steps below explain who to contact depending on the nature of your concern.

Data‑Protection or Privacy Concerns

If your complaint relates to how your personal data has been collected, stored or used, please raise this with me directly in the first instance via the contact form on this website. I will investigate your concern promptly and respond within the time frames required by UK data‑protection law.

If you remain dissatisfied after we have explored the issue together, you can escalate your concern to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Their current guidance encourages individuals to contact the organisation first before approaching the ICO.

Concerns About My Therapy or Coaching Work

If your concern relates to my therapeutic or coaching practice and you feel able to raise it with me, please contact me directly via the website contact form. I will take your concern seriously and work with you to understand and address the issue where possible.

If you feel it would be more appropriate to raise your concern with a professional body, you may contact:

  • BACP for matters relating to my therapeutic practice
  • EMCC for matters relating to my coaching practice

Both organisations provide independent complaints procedures and uphold professional standards within their respective fields.
